There are ways of dialing any number you want... but WTV is very unhappy when anyone uses the backup 800 #. What I would do is see if there are other nearby POP dialups in nearby towns that are still local calls... Go to the WTV hom epage and they have a utility you can use. If so, then unplug your box, plug it bakc in, and when you get the "are at the same number?" prompt... invent a number with that town's local phone exchange. But I also would not let WTV get away with this. They may need to know that a local POP is being overloaded.
