$1000000 dollars says useful info that some devoted "Click" member finds and keeps to thier own "Click" never gets off the ground.

You'e right. I hate to admit it but 99% of everything important found comes from people who aren't in any special "click". BONEHAM1 found the way into weekly (at least that is what I was told). I might have been the first to stumble into testdrive with that info (although I don't think I was. It was probably just a matter of hours and not anything special anyways. The original trick was what was special and a real find.) Real-Act found the new way to access TD with a classic (ahain as far as I know). Someone else found the way to get a few WebTV pages, I piggy backed on their find to get the willies pages. I got the Doom & YDKJ! codes because I was lucky enough to be admitted into previews while they were being tested and had the JS reader. A virtual unknown is the one who discovered how to hack accounts. I don't know who got to demo first or who really got the tricks PW first. But it wasn't a member of the upper eschelon of this newsgroup. Very few of the top people in this group have made any of the historicly important finds. We've just gotten famous (HA!) from what some of us were able to do with them.

Even newbies or mediocre hackers can advance something farther than the ones who keep it.

Always. Hell, most the stuff doesn't even get posted because it's stumbled upon by someone who has no idea what they've done. Eventually they tell a friend, who tells someone else about this weird thing they saw and it eventually it filters to us here.

Lets face it all NGs are made up of nothing but "Clicks" Because of "leechfeeders" not willing to share with the some newbies that enter this NG. Thier are newbies ive seen come in left and right.with somewhat on track questions. Hopefully if we can get rid of this, "Don't tell anybody anything. For one, they're a newbie. And two, WebTV is watching." attitude. We all newbies that had to depended on what was posted here to get started and to advance. A lucky few were taken in by a kind hearted soul. A few of them made the upper eschelon of this group. And where are those teachers now? Drummed out of the loop because they were deemed unworthy by someone to be included in the sensitive discussions. Care to guess who that was? The problem is that there are too many people who are conent to be sheep in the flock. Only to get blown off by "some" of you that think you are above the rest. And I admit, I'm as guilty of this as anybody. I've jumped all over a newbie for asking what I thought was a stupid question. But hell, they have to learn the basics somewhere. This isn't alt.discuss.advanced.hacking.for.the.313373.only.so.newbies.fuck.off It's alt.discuss.webtv.hacking So hacking is in a general sense. That means, to me, that it's for those interested in the subject. As for the charter, it's so vague and out of date it's completly useless. And I don't care who proposed this group or voted on the charter. The charter is just a set of guidelines, not rules or commandments. This is a pubic forum. And a badly named one at that. The creator says it's meant to discuss the exploration of the network. Well then, what the hell is hacking doing in the title? Why not move over to alt.discuss.webtvexplorers ? For someone who is always jumping people for proposing groups out of the heirarchy you are guilty of it yourself. If maybe some of you would come down to earth. They wouldnt be afraid to ask a sensible question. I'm working on it. A few others are as well. My feet aren't all the way down, but I'm trying. I wish more of the others would do the same. And as far as the latest trick goes "WHEN" it is finally complete and ready to be "TESTED" There is "NO WAY IN HELL" anyone that leaks info to wtv is gonna touch it...It was ruined once but NEVER again...it works both ways!!! And what happened when ulTRAX was told how to hack accouts? Yep, he hacked a few himself sohe could say he had done it and then ran to WebTV (Not that I don't agree with the decision). But hey, he did it once. Who's to say he won't do the same again? He really needs to decide what he wants to champion. Hacking or Privacy? You can't do both. From day one I've been prepared to be hacked, bombed, flamed, have my box fried, have my personal info discovered, etc.. ulTRAX has been swinging on both sides of the fence the whole time. And several times he contridicts what he himself says as one of his alter-egos. On one front seagrave will whine that WebTV leaves open all these holes that WebTV, websites, or whoever can expose to get our info. He then comes in here and ulTRAX whines about WebTV blocking access to their URLs, pages, and private newsgroups. Does he want WebTV secure or open? Private or hackable? Make up your damn mind and pick one.
