I think ECW is on the right track. From my understanding, when you access any WWW address it has to go through the network to be configured in order to view right on our TV screens, from there they are given a cache address and saved into a proxy for later accesses. If webtv already has that page in a proxy server that is restricted from wtv and client urls then you get the broken link. Making a page and viewing it for the first time through embeds will make those links work. Maybe Im out in left field here but that is the impression I get.   The mail, news and other pages must have been moved to those restricted servers, perhaps some uses of frames in those pages to keep the message bodys restricted.
